Go Wild!

Being in control isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. Too much responsibility and it takes too much work to stay in control. Be lazy and go wild I say! Just to be clear I’m not talking about life in general. That would just be irresponsible and my head would explode from the chaos. No, I’m talking about your yard.

Leave the insects. You need them. Yes, YOU!

Let go of neat and tidy and embrace wild and crazy lawns, gardens, and forests.

Quit cutting the grass and read more books.

The more we try to control with our insecticides, pesticides and monocultures the more damage we do. And, really, at the end of the day a green lawn is just, well, boring. Bring some color into your life!

A friend sent me this TED talk because she said it reminded her of me (not sure why 😉). I hope you take a couple minutes and watch it. It’s really good. Really, it is!
